The original name as well as the tradition got lost over the centuries but have been rediscovered by the scholar, Dr. Mikao Usui, who is at the origin of the name Reiki, created by himself.
Reiki is a bisyllabic word in Japanese. Rei means universal and Ki means spiritual consciousness, omniscient wisdom of God, the Higher Self. Ki energy can be activated to trigger self-healing. When we are happy and healthy, the flow of Ki circulates through us wonderfully. When we undergo tremendous stress or grief, the ki energy can decrease greatly, which can lead to all kinds of illnesses and health concerns.

A complete Reiki treatment opens your chakras and harmonizes the flow of universal energy in your body. On an average, a person needs treatment for 4 consecutive days to activate self-healing. By improving the flow of Ki energy, your immune system is strengthened, your body gets rid of toxins and gets ready to heal.
The 7 Chakras
The chakras are the main centers in our body that control the universal energy flow. Each chakra is responsible for providing physical and emotional energy to a specific part of our body.
The Crown Chakra
White or violet, it is located on the top of the head. It represents enlightenment, intuition and spiritual vision and supplies energy to the pineal gland, the upper part of the brain and the right eye.
The Third Eye Chakra
Indigo, it is located in the middle of the forehead, just above the eyebrows. It represents psychic perception, telepathy and extrasensory perception. It supplies energy to the spine, lower brain, left eye, pituitary gland, nose, ears and central nervous system.
The Throat Chakra
Light blue, it is located in the center of the neck. It represents self-expression, emotions, communication and creativity. It represents the energy supply to the throat, thyroid gland, upper lungs, arms and digestive tract.
The Heart Chakra
Pink and green, it is located in the middle of the chest. It represents emotions, love, devotion, spiritual growth and compassion. It provides energy supply to the heart, thymus, liver, lungs and circulation system.
The Sacral Chakra
Orange, it is located just below the navel. It represents sexual energy, perceptions and first impressions of people. It supplies the reproductive organs, legs and glands with energy.
The Solar Plexus Chakra
Yellow, it is located just around the middle of the abdomen. It represents the center of the body, where food is assimilated, transformed into energy and distributed throughout the body. This energy fuels the emotions, stomach, liver, digestion, gallbladder and pancreas.
The Root Chakra
Red, it is located at the level of the genitals. It represents life, physical vitality, birth and creation. It provides energy to the spine, kidneys, bladder and adrenal glands.
Distant Healing with Reiki
Distant Reiki healing, or absent healing, is healing communicated at any distance by the healer to the client. During these sessions, Sophie is connected to your energy just as if you were in the same room. The session lasts 25 to 45 minutes and the effect is manifested on the physical and spiritual level of the person receiving the treatment. Sometimes the process can be exhausting and emotional as it involves removing blockages sometimes caused by very painful experiences. There are many ways to send healing from a distance through Reiki.

How Does It Work?
First of all: (video call) opening of your case file, evaluation and explanation of the process, scheduling an appointment for the time of the session and answering questions before the session.
Please note that for your session to be useful, you will need 4 full treatments each week for at least one month. (It depends on the severity of your problem.)
And then: Each week after the treatment, Sophie will be available to speak with you (video call) for 30 minutes to give you an overview of the session and discuss about what you feel.
Price: $80 per session.
